Symptothermal Method
The symptothermal method is a combination of certain features of the calendar, the basal body temperature, and the mucus inspection methods. These methods can be cross referenced against one another to determine the beginning and the end of the periods it is safe or unsafe to have sexual intercourse. Combining the three methods increases the effectiveness rate of birth control as compared to using only one natural method. Using this method, a woman is taught how to observe, chart and interpret changes going on in her body so as to understand what days she is fertile and what days she is not fertile.

Fertility awareness
These three methods are not the only circumstances taken into consideration, other physical changes must also be taken into account like slight abdominal discomfort or cramping and notable differences in your breast.
